Louisville artist, James Lindsey releases his new EP entitled, “Same Sky” today. With an infectious single, “Wanna Shine,” & a dope music video named “Rainbows,” James Lindsey is making an incredible start to his new direction in his career. “Same Sky” is definitely a project worth checking out.

Artist Quote Explaining Inspiration For Making “Same Sky”:

Same Sky was created for self motivation. The title is pretty much enjoying the fact that none of us are the same but we all share the Same Sky. It was inspired by a lyric from my single ‘Rainbows’ where I say: “we might not all pray to the same god, have the same taste but we all got the same sky”. Those lyrics really spoke to who I am and how I view the world.

James Lindsey is an American songwriter and rapper from Louisville, KY. Lindsey has established a unique sound that has resonated amongst critics, with WeListenForYou blog writing that James has an “endless ability to interpret sounds and morph his lyrical approach to shifting melodies” and Paste Magazine once comparing him to the likes of Kid Cudi and Lupe Fiasco.

James broke into the music world in 2012 under the pseudonym Jalin Roze -releasing three projects under the name. Most notably, he released the critically acclaimed mixtape Grand National Dreams in 2013, which blended jazz synth inspired tracks with James’ unrivaled ability to provide deep and descriptive storytelling. The mixtapes generated him the respect to be a featured artist at Louisville’s largest music festival Forecastle Festival in 2014; alongside acts like Outkast and Jack White. Much success followed as Consequence Of Sound rated James’ set as one of the top-10 performances of the weekend. His tours have also led him to appearances at several other major music festivals such as CMJ and Bunbury Festival. Most recently James has headlined festivals in his hometown – performing at colleges and opening for stars such as Chance The Rapper and Jeremih. James is on the precipice of a breakout, especially after inking a deal with Louisville-based label Sonablast Records. His highly anticipated forthcoming EP Same Sky is set to release in January 2017.
