Bio:
Lerix is a Brooklyn based emcee whose recording style is progressive and reminiscent of hip-hop’s “Golden Era.” His infatuation with hip-hop started at a young age, thanks to the influence of his older cousin, Hank Love, who was the co-host of 105.9’s “Hank love and Half-Pint Show.” Soon enough, Lerix started writing and recording songs of his own. Lerix’s music is often compared with hip-hop heavy weights like Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco, Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul.

Early in his career, Lerix gained the opportunity to meet with label execs. The meetings helped Lerix realize he wouldn’t compromise his beliefs to fit into the “industry model.” This experience helped him gain perspective on what’s important and have been an inspiration for his music..

Along with constant recording, Lerix has performed at numerous venues in and outside of New York, most notably the “Full Spectrum” showcase during the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival.“To be a part of something as huge as the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival is truly inspiring!”
