Multi-platinum producer Drumma Boy is expanding his Drum Squad brand with some noteworth new talent, including songwriter Qumontae. This week, the young Virginia native delivers the official visual for his first Drum Squad single “To Myself”, produced by SezOnTheBeat and directed by Ceejayyfilms.
“I don’t want to just make music, I want to make conversation,” Qumontae expressed upon premiering the video this week. “I want people to feel feelings that were never there – I want you to miss someone you don’t even know.”
Drumma Boy is a true believer in Qumontae’s abilities, and assures music lovers that big things are brewing. “When I met Qumontae and heard his music, I knew he had something special. He has a clear vision of what he wants and executes it. One of the most difficult things to do is transfer an emotion into a great song. He does that well with beat selection, clear hook and melody, with dope story and concept delivery. I’m looking forward to building a solid foundation here at Drum Squad.”
