Freddie Gibbs, G Perico and Mozzy have teamed up for a new song produced by multi-platinum production group League of Starz. “Colors” pays homage to the 30-year anniversary of director Dennis Hopper’s film and brings together three prominent artists who revisit the movie’s themes with their own vivid storytelling. Freddie Gibbs, who has released a string of renowned records including his highly-celebrated 2014 album PiƱata produced entirely by Madlib, G Perico, who many have named as the face of today’s West Coast Gangsta Rap sound, and the critically-acclaimed Sacramento rapper Mozzy, who Kendrick Lamar shouted out at the Grammy’s and was recently featured on TDE’s Black Panther soundtrack on “Seasons,” all join forces on “Colors.”
