On, April 28, 2008, Henry Blodget at Silicon Alley Insider gave valuations on 25 private web companies; Yes Facebook is at top of the list but not worth the astounding $50 Billion that it was valued at last year. SAI applied a 25x multiple on Facebook’s 2008 revenue forecast of $350 million. This may be because a Federal Judge told the Winklevoss brothers who filed suit claiming that Mark Zuckerberg stole Facebook from them when they were back at Harvard, that Facebook has actually places a different valuation on its own shares and the twins will have to live with the settlement they reached. This is hurtful new for Microsoft and every other investor that bought into the company at the hyped up $15 Billion valuation.
