Chicago, IL-based producer, songwriter, engineer and multi-instrumentalist Doug Saltzman a.k.a. dug. presents to you the self-produced and Alex DeYoung mastered-single “In Unkown”, the new single from his upcoming EP Keep It Honest on Throne Age Records. His previous projects include the instrumental album In The Lavender (stream on Bandcamp) and Everyone Has A Time Machine(stream on Bandcamp) and The’ve – Visions (watch on YouTube). He began engineering and working in recording studios when he was 16, and has mixed/mastered albums featuring Yasiin Bey, Open Mike Eagle, Quelle Chris and worked as a primary engineer for Denmark Vessey (stream on Soudcloud). dug. has also produced tracks for Denmark, Sam Trump, Rico Sisney (of Sidewalk Chalk), Gia Margaret. He will be releasing Keep It Honest this spring via Throne Age Records as well as several other EPs, albums and singles throughout the rest of the year. When asked about the inspiration behind his new project, dug. says, “I made the EP in my apartment over the course of a year or so with the mindset of being as vulnerable as possible throughout the entire process. Most of that time was spent experimenting and getting to know my voice. I really feel this is about embracing your imperfections because being true to yourself is what makes art, art.”
